Node js developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Developer with 1 year of professional experience to develop and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js, databases, and modern backend development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design, develop, and integrate secure and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and other team members to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.

Requirements

• 1+ year of professional experience in Node.js development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and Express.js.
• Hands-on experience in designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Good understanding of MongoDB and/or SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Git version control.
• Understanding and implementation of JWT authentication and authorization.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Socket.IO, Docker, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of TypeScript is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
