Role Overview
As a Software Engineer at Teradata, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing cloud-native data protection solutions. You will work within the Enterprise Data Protection (EDP) team to enhance a platform that supports a growing ecosystem across public cloud providers, ensuring secure and reliable data migration and protection for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Understanding business and technical requirements and implementing software solutions aligned with product architecture and design.
- Enhancing the EDP platform to support public cloud providers including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Java.
- Writing comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Ensuring software deployments meet functional, performance, and quality requirements.
- Collaborating with developers, architects, QA engineers, and product owners.
- Participating in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications.
- Strong programming skills in Java, including data structures and algorithms.
- Solid understanding of RDBMS and SQL.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting experience in Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microservices and Docker.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools.
