Full Stack Software Engineer - Full-Time Contractor

Role Overview

The Tech Dojo India is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to build a next-generation, white-label workforce, payroll, and compliance platform for the UK market. This is a hands-on build role where you will own features end-to-end, from schema and API to UI, tests, and deployment, replacing legacy systems that handle real payroll and HMRC filings.

Responsibilities

• Build multi-tenant, instance-per-brand architecture for a white-label product.
• Develop payroll, timesheet, and invoicing engines with high mathematical accuracy.
• Implement UK compliance workflows including CIS, VAT, PAYE, and HMRC filings.
• Integrate accounting systems, e-mail/SMS providers, and government gateways.
• Create admin tooling and reporting for finance and operations teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience shipping production web applications with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong relational data modelling and SQL skills, including reasoning about schemas and migrations.
• Mandatory proficiency with LLM coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot).
• Ability to work UK business hours (approx. 12:30 pm – 09:30 pm IST).
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity with access to the Gurugram office.
• Commitment to an exclusive full-time contractor engagement.

Nice to Have

• Experience in payroll, fintech, accounting, or regulated domains.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or white-label products.
• DevOps exposure including deployments, monitoring, and incident debugging.
