Backend Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with strong expertise in C#/.NET and .NET Core 8.0 to support VLIMS 2.0 development. The role involves building scalable backend systems, developing Windows Services for offline template processing, and handling robust database operations using MS SQL Server. The candidate should be capable of quickly understanding existing systems and contributing with minimal ramp-up time.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend modules for VLIMS 2.0 using C# and .NET Core 8.0.
• Develop and maintain Windows Services for offline template generation and background processing.
• Build secure and high-performance REST APIs.
• Translate BRDs into technical design and implementation.
• Design, optimize, and maintain databases in MS SQL Server.
• Write complex queries and stored procedures and optimize performance.
• Ensure data integrity, logging, and exception handling.
• Collaborate with frontend, QA, and business teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong experience in C# and .NET / .NET Core.
• Hands-on experience in Windows Services / Background Services.
• Expertise in ASP.NET Core Web API development.
• Strong experience with MS SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, tuning).
• Solid understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.
• Experience with Entity Framework or Dapper.
• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms like JWT.
• Experience using Git.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
