Embedded Software Engineer Product Security

Role Overview

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer specializing in Product Security and IEC 61850 protocols. This role involves developing, integrating, and troubleshooting secure embedded systems and Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) within an Agile environment. The position follows a hybrid work model requiring presence at the Goa office for two weeks each month.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software using C, C++, and Embedded C.
• Implement and port security components like OpenSSL and MbedTLS to embedded platforms.
• Develop and troubleshoot IEC 61850-compliant devices, including MMS, GOOSE, and SCL files.
• Utilize JTAG/SWD interfaces for embedded system debugging.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.

Requirements

• Strong programming expertise in C, C++, and Embedded C.
• Hands-on experience with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, Socket Programming, and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Proven experience with IEC 61850 communication protocols and services.
• Experience with security libraries such as MbedTLS and OpenSSL.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Cryptography (Symmetric/Asymmetric encryption) and hashing algorithms like SHA-256 or SHA-384.
• Experience with GIT, SonarQube, and Static Code Analysis.
• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps.
