Frontend Developer Internship

Role Overview

ThunderTribes is looking for Frontend Developer Interns who are eager to design, build, and ship production-ready user experiences using modern web technologies. This is a remote, 3-month unpaid internship providing real-world project experience, an internship certificate, and a letter of recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Building responsive and high-performance web applications using React / Next.js
• Designing clean, modern UI components and dashboards for SaaS platforms
• Integrating frontend with backend APIs (FastAPI, REST APIs, etc.)
• Handling state management and optimizing frontend performance
• Working with real-time data (chat systems, analytics dashboards, etc.)
• Implementing authentication flows and protected routes
• Collaborating with backend and product teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
• Contributing to design systems and reusable components

Requirements

• Students or recent graduates in Computer Science or related fields
• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with React.js / Next.js or any modern frontend framework
• Understanding of API integration (REST, JSON)
• Basic knowledge of responsive design and UI/UX principles
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn and build real-world applications

Nice to Have

• Experience with Tailwind CSS / Material UI / component libraries
• Knowledge of animations (Framer Motion, CSS animations)
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques
• Familiarity with Git and version control
