Tickete is building the future of discovering and booking experiences worldwide. From iconic attractions and theme parks to museums, tours, and hidden gems, we're creating a seamless platform that helps travellers find unforgettable experiences. We're a small, fast-moving team that ships quickly, values ownership, and believes in building products users genuinely love.
The Role
We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer (Frontend-Heavy) with at least one year of professional experience who enjoys building polished, high-performance web applications. You'll primarily work with Next.js and React to build customer-facing features, while also getting hands-on with our NestJS backend to integrate and, where needed, extend the APIs that power them. This role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to influence the product from an early stage.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain modern web applications using React and Next.js.
- Develop responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces, translating Figma designs into clean, reusable components.
- Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and services, and independently make small-to-medium backend changes (NestJS) when a feature calls for it.
- Improve application performance, Core Web Vitals, and frontend architecture.
- Get comfortable with our data layer (Prisma/PostgreSQL) well enough to reason about API responses and debug issues end to end.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
- Debug production issues across the stack, from UI down to the API layer, and continuously improve the user experience.
- Contribute ideas to product discussions and frontend technical decisions.
- Stay up to date with modern frontend technologies and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of professional frontend development experience.
- Strong knowledge of React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+).
- Experience building applications with Next.js.
- Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
- Experience working with REST APIs, and comfort reading/tracing backend code (e.g. Node.js/NestJS) to understand how endpoints work.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Good understanding of frontend performance optimisation.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles with strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with a high level of ownership.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with a Node.js backend framework (NestJS preferred) and an ORM (Prisma or similar).
- Experience deploying applications on Vercel and/or containerised environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with AWS services (RDS, CloudFront, S3).
- Experience with Tailwind CSS or CSS-in-JS libraries (e.g. styled-components).
- Understanding of SEO and web performance optimisation.
- Experience working with analytics or experimentation tools.
What You'll Get
- Work on a product used by travellers across the globe.
- High ownership with opportunities to shape product decisions.
- Small, experienced team with minimal bureaucracy.
- Opportunity to grow quickly as the company scales.
- Modern development stack and tools.
Our Tech Stack
- Frontend (primary): Next.js, React, TypeScript, styled-components / Tailwind CSS
- Backend (exposure expected): NestJS, Prisma, PostgreSQL
- Shared/Infra: Git, AWS (RDS, CloudFront, S3), Vercel, Kubernetes
