Software Engineer (L2)

Role Overview

Join the team as our next Software Engineer (L2) within Twilio Sendgrid. This role is hands-on in creating, deploying, and managing highly available, very large scale distributed systems that process billions of communications. You will contribute to redesigning backend services for scalability, strengthening service security, and developing new product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Ship reliable features at scale that deliver value to customers by partnering with engineering and product teams.
• Perform thorough and thoughtful code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
• Identify key system metrics and ensure adequate monitoring coverage for data storage and analytical services.
• Take initiative to solve challenging problems and drive technical solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering with demonstrated skill progression.
• Proficiency with Go or similar typed programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, or Rust.
• Ability to implement reliable, maintainable components.
• Automation-minded with experience automating processes and administrative tasks.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to drive teams towards common goals.
• Self-driven with a sense of complete ownership over tasks.
• Degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
