Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IoT Integration Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This remote role focuses on designing and developing secure IoT telemetry ingestion pipelines from edge devices to the AWS Cloud, specifically working with digital products and industrial data models.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure IoT telemetry ingestion pipelines from edge devices to AWS Cloud.
• Build and maintain solutions using AWS IoT Core, AWS IoT SiteWise, and AWS IoT Greengrass.
• Design Asset Models, Asset Hierarchies, and Industrial Data Models in AWS IoT SiteWise.
• Collaborate with Hardware, OT, and Application Engineering teams for asset mapping and integrations.
• Develop APIs, event-driven services, and cloud-native integrations for digital applications.
• Build diagnostics, monitoring, and validation frameworks to ensure telemetry quality.
• Troubleshoot IoT connectivity, telemetry ingestion, and edge device issues.
• Create technical documentation, data contracts, and architecture guidelines.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS IoT technologies.
• Proven experience designing IoT telemetry ingestion pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Asset Modeling, Industrial Data Semantics, and Asset Hierarchies.
• Experience integrating edge devices with AWS Cloud.
• Knowledge of APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native integrations.
• Understanding of Industrial IoT concepts, OT integration, and distributed cloud systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Industrial IoT platforms.
• Knowledge of MQTT, OPC-UA, or Modbus protocols.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, and Serverless services.
• Familiarity with IoT security best practices and Agile/Scrum development.
• Experience with Digital Twin and Industrial Asset Management solutions.
