Role Overview

As an Associate Engineer - Digital Technology, you will join a growing Software Development team to design, develop, and maintain massive-scaling technology solutions. This role focuses on creating and maintaining software solutions that support United's Network operation applications, applying technical best practices and patterns to maximize IT's benefit to the airline. This is a hybrid position offering flexibility and unique travel benefits.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and planning for software architecture for technology platforms
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Participate in code reviews and ensure consistency with established software development architecture
• Serve as an integral member of the development team in an Agile/DevOps environment
• Analyze and interpret requirements from Business and UX Design Teams
• Introduce new technologies and best practices to solve business problems
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the quality and security of the platform

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech. in a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of experience as a developer
• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
• Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with AWS services
• Experience in component and unit testing methodologies
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodology
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
