Job Description
Role Overview
The Meteorological Web Developer will lead the continued development of the Wisconet website, a network of weather and soil monitoring stations. The role involves exploring mobile app development, ensuring data accessibility, and maintaining WCAG AA accessibility standards to serve diverse end users including agricultural and outdoor activity stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert and main point of contact for website and application design, maintenance, and support.
- Investigate and resolve website performance issues and speed of access.
- Contribute to website strategy and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Monitor website usage trends and project status to ensure quality completion.
- Evaluate and implement open source and commercial products.
- Design, develop, and deploy web applications and integrate databases.
Requirements
- Experience in web development and application design.
- Ability to work primarily onsite with up to two days remote.
- Proven ability to meet WCAG AA accessibility standards.
