Role Overview

UST is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer in Test to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, with proficiency in either Java or Python. The role involves working with distributed systems involving UI, APIs, and databases in a Chennai-based office environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java or Python.
• Implement and execute automated tests for web UI using Selenium.
• Utilize BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Behave to create and manage test cases.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Use Docker and Kubernetes for test environment setup and management.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with developers to resolve them.
• Continuously improve test automation frameworks and processes.
• Document test cases, test scripts, and test results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in test automation using Java or Python.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Behave.
• Experience in writing automated tests for web UIs.
• Knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of data structures.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
