Software Engineer (Web Developer)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient professional to oversee the management and continuous development of our web infrastructure and version-controlled repositories. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our Jekyll-based website, administering GitHub repositories, leveraging AI-assisted development platforms to deliver high-quality web solutions, and serving as the primary technical steward of the organization's digital presence.

Responsibilities

• Administer and update the organization's Jekyll-based website, including the authoring and modification of content, templates, and configurations.
• Ensure website performance, security, and functionality across all browsers and devices.
• Evaluate and author code to ensure it meets industry standards and is properly structured.
• Create, organize, and maintain GitHub repositories and enforce version control best practices.
• Utilize Claude Code and Cowork to develop, test, and deploy code efficiently.
• Manage integrations with third-party APIs, plugins, and back-end web services.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison between non-technical staff, designers, and external vendors.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in Web development.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Jekyll or comparable static site generator frameworks.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Markdown, and Liquid templating.
• Proven experience with Git and GitHub, including repository administration and branching strategies.
• Ability to effectively operate Claude Code and Cowork in a professional development environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
