Azure Platform Engineer (DevOps & Kubernetes)- 100% Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Platform Engineer specializing in DevOps and Kubernetes for a 12-month contract role, working a UK shift (2-10 PM). This is a 100% remote position.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust infrastructure solutions on Azure Cloud.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Administer and optimize Kubernetes clusters, leveraging tools like Rancher.
• Implement configuration management using Ansible.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
• Support software development teams within an Agile Scrum framework.
• Ensure high availability and security of platform solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps/Platform Engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience with Azure Cloud provisioning and management.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and containerization technologies like Docker.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with configuration management using Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Perl.
• Experience administering Linux (RHEL preferred) environments.
• Familiarity with web servers such as Nginx and Apache HTTP Server/Tomcat.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL protocols.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Copilot is required.
• Familiarity with Oracle/PL/SQL is a plus.
