Data Engineer - 100% Remote

Role Overview

This is a 7-month contract role for a Data Engineer working 100% Remote. The position requires 3-6 years of experience and operates on an IST schedule (7 AM to 4 PM). The role focuses on designing and implementing end-to-end data platform architectures using modern cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of end-to-end data platform architecture using Azure cloud technologies.
• Build scalable, reliable ELT/ETL pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from multiple source systems.
• Implement and maintain automated data quality checks and pipeline testing.
• Develop and maintain data lakehouse solutions implementing medallion architecture patterns.
• Collaborate with offshore data engineering partners to deliver initiatives and provide technical guidance.
• Assist the Business Intelligence team with reporting and analytics requirements.
• Contribute to and adhere to established data governance and security practices.
• Enable business functions with clean, structured data for compliance, insights, and fraud detection.
• Provide detailed documentation, knowledge transfer, and training to internal teams.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Proven experience with Azure cloud ecosystems.
• Ability to work within IST time zones.
