ML Engineer Intern

Role Overview

Vian Analytics is building the world’s first Clinical LLM platform tailored for Indian genomics. Incubated at IIT Madras, we combine multi-omics AI with population-scale health equity to decode complex genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data using agentic AI. As a Remote ML Engineer Intern, you will work closely with the founder to contribute to model development, feature engineering, and the integration of models into our clinical LLM platform.

Responsibilities

• Implement, experiment with, and optimize ML and neural network models.
• Design and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and agentic AI systems.
• Assist with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and statistical model evaluation.
• Document experiments, participate in code reviews, and support model integration.
• Collaborate remotely to solve complex problems using quantitative approaches.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Circuital Branches.
• Strong foundations in linear algebra, probability, statistics, and core machine learning concepts.
• Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity.
• Ability to apply pattern recognition and quantitative analysis to high-dimensional datasets.
• Effective communication skills for remote team collaboration and technical documentation.
