Role Overview
We are looking for a Cloud / Backend Engineer to design, implement, and manage the cloud-native backend infrastructure for Ai Health Highway. You will own the architecture of scalable microservices, serverless functions, and data pipelines on AWS. This role requires deep expertise in cloud services, distributed systems, and infrastructure automation.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and EventBridge
- Manage data persistence with DynamoDB, Amazon OpenSearch, and RDS
- Implement asynchronous communication using SQS and SNS
- Configure IAM roles, VPC networking, and EC2 instances for hybrid workloads
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch and X-Ray
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Flask, FastAPI, and Chalice
- Design microservices with high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) for repeatable deployments
- Collaborate with full-stack and mobile teams to define API contracts and data flows
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in cloud/backend engineering
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and system optimization skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and VPC
- Proficiency in Docker containerization
- Strong experience with Flask, FastAPI, and Chalice frameworks
- Solid understanding of REST API Design, Microservices Architecture, and System Design
Nice to Have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Hands-on with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE)
- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CodePipeline)
- Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka
- Experience with Redis
- Prior experience in healthtech or fintech domains
