Role Overview
Design and develop cloud-native applications using Java/Spring Boot and AWS services. Build scalable, resilient, and high-performance microservices-based applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expose REST APIs and integrate services via API Gateway / Kong.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS platforms (EKS/ECS/Lambda/EC2).
- Implement containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Collaborate with Architects and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with solution design.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot application issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and deployment guidelines.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in Java with Spring Boot framework.
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, ALB/NLB).
- Experience in developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
- Good understanding of cloud-native design principles.
- Familiarity with AWS networking (VPC, subnets, security groups).
- Experience with application monitoring and logging (CloudWatch, Dynatrace, etc.).
- Understanding of API security mechanisms (mTLS, OAuth/OIDC is a plus).
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
- Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Experience with Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
- Experience 4–8 years of experience in software development.
- Minimum 2–3 years in AWS/cloud-native application development.
