Role Overview
We are looking for highly experienced Kotlin Engineers who can work independently end-to-end, take ownership of complex problems, and deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-driven, and comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Kotlin-based applications (backend and/or Android, depending on project needs).
- Own features from requirement understanding to design, implementation, testing, and release.
- Write clean, efficient, well-tested, and maintainable Kotlin code following best practices.
- Independently troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, UX, QA, DevOps) while operating with minimal oversight.
- Contribute to technical decisions, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
- Ensure performance, scalability, security, and reliability of solutions.
- Document designs, decisions, and implementation details clearly.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin (5+ years preferred).
- Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of deliverables.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming concepts.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and service integration.
- Asynchronous programming (coroutines, flows).
- Unit testing and test automation.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Android development (Jetpack, MVVM, Compose).
- Backend development using Kotlin (Ktor, Spring Boot).
- Cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable).
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to performance tuning, observability, and monitoring.
- Prior experience working on large-scale or enterprise systems.
