SDET ETL Testing

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SDET specializing in ETL Testing to join our team in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years focused on the required technical skills, including developing automation frameworks and testing within a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ETL testing strategies and automation frameworks using scripting languages.
• Perform rigorous SQL testing, including handling big data scenarios using ETL tools like Informatica.
• Execute testing tasks leveraging PySpark.
• Conduct testing within the AWS cloud environment, utilizing services such as S3, SQS, Glue, EMR, Data Catalog, Crawler, ETL Jobs, and Event Bridge.
• Work with Redshift Spectrum and Athena databases.
• Utilize AWS Commands for job execution, file processing, and data movement.
• Implement Test Automation and DevOps practices across ETL and Cloud Systems.
• Provide testing oversight within an Agile team structure.
• Communicate effectively with Business and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of IT experience, with 5 years in relevant technical skills.
• Proficiency in ETL Testing and developing automation frameworks/test cases in at least one scripting language.
• Strong SQL skills and experience handling big data with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica).
• Mandatory work experience with PySpark.
• Testing experience in the AWS cloud environment, specifically with S3, SQS, Glue, EMR, Data Catalog, Crawler, ETL Jobs, Event Bridge, Athena, and Redshift Spectrum.
• Experience with Test Automation and DevOps practices in ETL and Cloud Systems.
• Work experience in a Big Data ecosystem processing data in a data lakehouse.
• Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) or similar data transformation tools is a plus.
• Experience providing testing oversight in an Agile team.
• Excellent business communication skills.
