MERN Stack Developer

Role Overview

At Volmint Technologies, we design and build scalable, modern, and high-performance software solutions. We are looking for a passionate MERN Stack Developer with hands-on experience in Next.js and React Native, who can build for the web and mobile from a single, well-architected codebase.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Build cross-platform mobile applications using React Native, integrating with the same backend APIs used by the web platform.
• Build efficient and reusable components with Next.js (server-side rendering, routing, and API integrations).
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Express.js and Node.js.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs into polished, responsive front-end and mobile interfaces.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and security across web and mobile.
• Work with databases such as MySQL, DynamoDB, and Redis for high-performance data handling.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, peer code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Debug and resolve issues across the stack, including platform-specific issues on iOS and Android (React Native).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — backend, QA, DevOps, and product — to deliver features on time.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a MERN Stack Developer.
• Practical, hands-on experience building applications with Next.js.
• Practical, hands-on experience building at least one mobile application with React Native.
• A completed bachelor's/master's degree is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in Next.js, Express.js, Node.js, and MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, React, and CSS.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and server-side rendering.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket).
• Comfortable with native mobile concepts — navigation, state management, and publishing builds to the Play Store/App Store.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across web and mobile platforms.

Good to Have: Experience with MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
