AI Security Engineer

Role Overview

As an AI Engineer within Enterprise IT Security at Volvo Group, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining AI-powered applications that support IT security processes. You will build reliable, scalable, and secure solutions based on Large Language Models, agentic workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation, ensuring they are ready for enterprise-scale use.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain AI-powered applications using Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Build LLM-based solutions with tools such as LangChain and LangGraph, including agents and workflows.
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions using embeddings, vector databases, and document retrieval pipelines.
• Integrate AI solutions with Azure OpenAI, enterprise APIs, and internal platforms.
• Design scalable, modular backend services and APIs following clean architecture.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, privacy, and performance.
• Define evaluation strategies for LLM applications, including testing and validation.
• Use observability tools such as LangSmith to monitor and improve AI workflows.
• Identify and mitigate risks like hallucinations, prompt injection, and data leakage.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, security, architecture, and DevOps teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and maintaining AI-powered applications.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic workflows.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector databases.
• Ability to design scalable backend services and APIs.
• Knowledge of AI security risks such as prompt injection and data leakage.
