Role Overview
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure server, storage, and network infrastructure. You will play a critical role in system administration, automation, and ensuring high availability across cloud and virtualized environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure server, storage, and network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain hardware and software systems, including regular backups and security patching.
- Diagnose and resolve system failures, network issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline operations.
- Monitor system health, availability, and capacity to proactively resolve issues.
- Manage infrastructure across cloud and virtualized environments.
- Implement system hardening, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
- Collaborate with DevOps, cybersecurity, and network teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and processes.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and log-management tools.
