Role Overview
We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer with experience working on both Rails monolith applications and API-driven systems. The role involves building and maintaining backend services, collaborating with frontend and cross-stack teams, and supporting deployments and production systems. Basic exposure to React, Node.js, or PHP is expected.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Rails monolith applications (views, controllers, models, services).
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Rails.
- Work with databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and optimize queries.
- Collaborate with frontend teams using React or similar frameworks.
- Understand and review code written in Node.js or PHP when needed.
- Support deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and basic production troubleshooting.
- Debug issues in staging and production environments.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with Rails monolith architecture and API-only Rails apps.
- Strong understanding of MVC, ActiveRecord, and REST principles.
- Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL.
- Familiarity with Git and team-based workflows.
- Basic knowledge of React, Node.js, or PHP.
- Understanding of deployment workflows and production support.
