Bioinformatics Intern

Role Overview

Vrozart Group is seeking a full-time, on-site Bioinformatics Intern based in Chandigarh. The intern will assist in analyzing biological datasets, including sequencing and genomic data, using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods. This role involves supporting research projects, cleaning and organizing data, running pipelines, and collaborating with scientific and technical teams to interpret results and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing biological datasets, including sequencing and genomic data.
• Clean and organize data, run pipelines and scripts, and document methodologies and findings.
• Collaborate with scientific and technical teams to interpret results and prepare reports.
• Contribute to presentations or internal knowledge resources.
• Evaluate new tools and maintain basic documentation.
• Follow established data management and quality assurance practices.

Requirements

• Strong bioinformatics and sequencing skills, including familiarity with genomic data formats and common bioinformatics tools.
• Statistics and data analysis skills for working with large biological datasets.
• Solid research skills, including literature review and protocol understanding.
• Relevant academic background in bioinformatics, computational biology, biotechnology, genetics, or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in programming or scripting and comfort working in Linux environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
