Role Overview
The Content Acquisition and Fulfillment Engineering (CAFÉ) team at Warner Bros. Discovery builds a next-generation media supply chain platform. As a Software Engineer II, you will work on backend services and distributed workflows, designing and integrating APIs and event-driven components that power a microservices-based, highly scalable, and event-driven architecture.
Responsibilities
- Build application service layers to support the content supply chain.
- Design and develop modules within the supply chain and create technical documentation.
- Describe and defend design and code decisions while embracing constructive feedback.
- Offer enhancements to best practices, architecture, and design through proactive code reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues by reviewing source code, logs, operational metrics, and stack traces.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a backend software developer.
- Experience with event-driven architecture or asynchronous messaging services.
- Experience working within a SAFe Agile team.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder discussions and documentation.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality results and work independently to unblock tasks.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data analytics, observability metrics, and monitoring dashboards.
- Exposure to Serverless, AWS Lambda, MongoDB, or AWS Step Functions.
- Experience in the Media domain.
