Android Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Android Native Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality native Android applications. The ideal candidate will work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and product teams to build scalable and user-friendly mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Build responsive, scalable, and high-performance mobile applications using Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Implement modern Android UI using Jetpack Compose and/or XML layouts.
• Follow Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, payment gateways, and Firebase services.
• Work with local storage and databases such as Room or SQLite.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery consumption.
• Use Git for source-code management and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Publish and maintain applications through the Google Play Store.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Android application development.
• Strong programming skills in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack components and Android SDK.
• Experience integrating and consuming REST APIs and JSON.
• Knowledge of Retrofit, OkHttp, and mobile databases like Room or SQLite.
• Experience with Firebase services (Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics, Analytics).
• Experience with Git-based version control systems.
• Strong understanding of Android lifecycle and architecture patterns.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Knowledge of Dependency Injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Exposure to automated UI testing using Espresso or UI Automator.
