Role Overview

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer - Java full stack engineer to participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts.

Responsibilities

• Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
• Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for technology domain projects
• Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges related to low to medium risk deliverables
• Present recommendations for resolving issues or escalate as needed to meet SLAs
• Exercise independent judgment regarding security and compliance requirements
• Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education

Nice to Have

• Domain knowledge in home lending or consumer lending space
• Knowledge on messaging systems like MQ, Solace, or Kafka
• Experience working with globally distributed teams in Agile scrums
• Understanding of model risk, explainability, and validation in regulated environments
• Experience using or integrating GenAI developer tools such as Copilot or Devin
• Experience in the Mortgage domain
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and secure coding practices
• Experience with microservices, integration patterns, and Oracle JDBC (UCP)
• Proficiency with Gradle, Git, and Agile delivery methodologies
