System Operations Engineer

Role Overview

Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Engineer to participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, databases, or other technical products and services. You will identify opportunities for process improvements, analyze technical queries, and act as an internal consultant regarding tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, and databases.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within technical support strategies and plans.
• Review and analyze technical queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming.
• Present recommendations for resolving complex technical queries.
• Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements.
• Provide information related to supported system areas to functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 2+ years of experience in Windows or Linux Administration.
• Mandatory experience with ITRS, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, Autosys/Control-M, and AiOps.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Production / Application support teams.
• Change, problem, and incident management experience.
• Windows environment expertise: IIS, SQL Server Administration, and Windows PowerShell.
• Linux environment expertise: Unix Scripting.
• Experience with web servers such as Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, or JBOSS.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or NoSQL.
• DevOps tools: Github, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Ansible.
• Monitoring tools: Netcool, Elk, or Basemon.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, Jira, or Confluence.
• Experience with Agile / Kanban methodologies.
