Systems Operations Engineer

Role Overview

Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Engineer to participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, databases, or other technical products and services. You will identify opportunities for process improvements, analyze technical queries, and act as an internal consultant regarding tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, and databases.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within technical support strategies and plans.
• Review and analyze technical queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming.
• Present recommendations for resolving complex technical queries.
• Exercise independent judgment to analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements.
• Work as an internal consultant regarding the use of tools and processes.
• Provide information related to supported system areas to functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Nice to Have

• 2+ years in Application support/Production Support.
• Knowledge in Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, DevOps, and AUTOSYS.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Java, WebSphere, F5, and NAS/SAN storage.
• Experience with Venafi Certificate Management System.
• Understanding of monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk, Sitescope, and APM.
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and English communication skills.
