Software Engineer - Intern

Role Overview

Windowmaker is an innovative software business seeking a full stack engineer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the entire stack, whether they have a preference for front-end or back-end development, provided they are happy to tackle tasks in both areas.

Responsibilities

• Design the overall architecture of the web application
• Implement a robust set of services and APIs to power the web application
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement security and data protection
• Translate UI/UX wireframes to visual elements
• Integrate front-end and back-end aspects of the web application
• Participate in the full software engineering life cycle including prototyping, architecture, and deployment
• Provide technical analysis and solve issues during project delivery
• Conduct code reviews and test case reviews
• Collaborate with product management to define innovative solutions
• Gather requirements and convert functional needs into technical tasks
• Mentor and develop junior software engineers

Requirements

• B.E./MCA/M.E. in Computer Science or IT
• 3 to 9 years of professional software engineering experience
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js
• Experience with Angular and testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha
• Understanding of Cloud Native architecture, containerization, and Docker
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps culture
• Knowledge of cloud-based SaaS applications/architecture
• Practical experience building robust solutions at large scale
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
