Role Overview

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Java Developer to join our ever-evolving IVR team and help shape the future of global commerce by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based Microservices applications.
• Build, enhance, and consume RESTful APIs for enterprise integrations.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and resilient backend services using Spring Boot and AWS cloud architecture.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support incident resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
• Create technical documentation and support deployment activities.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Java 11 and/or Java 17.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot application development, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
• Experience implementing application security using Spring Security.
• Strong experience in REST API design and development.
• Experience processing JSON and XML payloads.
• Experience with Swagger/Open API, Postman, and Maven.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and Jenkins pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services (S3, Lambda, SQS, EC2, EKS, etc.).
• Knowledge of SQL and databases such as PostgreSQL or DB2.
• Knowledge of API security patterns including OAuth2 and JWT.

Nice to Have

• Experience with API management platforms.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Instana.
• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Working experience with Agile and SAFe methodologies.
