Android / iOS App Developer

Role Overview

XP Robotics is building cutting-edge software and data collection systems for robotics, AI, and autonomous machines. We are looking for an Android and/or iOS App Developer to build robust mobile applications for recording synchronized egocentric and stereo camera data, working closely with robotics, computer vision, and AI engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop native or cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Build high-performance apps for synchronized video recording from multiple cameras.
• Integrate USB/external stereo cameras and mobile sensors.
• Record synchronized RGB, stereo, IMU, GPS, and audio data.
• Optimize applications for low latency and high recording reliability.
• Implement local storage, file management, and data upload pipelines.
• Debug camera, USB, and hardware integration issues.
• Collaborate with AI, robotics, and embedded systems engineers.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in Android or iOS development.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin/Java (Android) or Swift (iOS).
• Experience with Android Studio or Xcode.
• Good understanding of mobile camera APIs.
• Experience working with video recording and media pipelines.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and local databases.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of Git and version control.

Nice to Have

• Flutter or React Native experience.
• Experience with Camera2 API, AVFoundation, or CameraX.
• Knowledge of USB camera integration (UVC).
• Familiarity with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, or USB communication.
• Experience with sensor synchronization (IMU/GPS).
• Exposure to robotics, computer vision, OpenCV, or AI applications.
