Role Overview
Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company dedicated to advancing sustainable impact and empowering the people who make water work every day. The Entry Software Engineer is responsible for assisting in the design and development of processes for manufacturing chemicals and related products, working under the guidance of experienced engineers to optimize production processes and deploy cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Create Infrastructure as Code scripts to deploy environments in AWS and Azure.
- Create and utilize pipelines to deploy software applications across multiple environments including QA, staging, and production.
- Provide guidance to peer teams on best practices for IaC and pipelines.
- Work with security operations to maintain security posture and implement automated security testing.
- Setup, configure, and maintain high availability (HA) and elasticity in the public cloud.
- Implement monitoring and logging standards for infrastructure and applications.
- Setup and maintain disaster recovery requirements and conduct scheduled DR drills.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for the Global DevOps team.
- Support software engineers and document processes and workflows.
