Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Java Backend Developer to support and enhance enterprise Warranty Applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java-based web application development using JSP, Servlets, and Struts framework, along with experience in application support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancement of critical business systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise Warranty Applications using Java technologies.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop backend components using Core Java, JSP, Servlets, and Struts framework.
- Support production applications and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with QA teams during testing cycles and support defect resolution.
- Work closely with business users during requirement gathering, UAT, and production deployments.
- Prepare technical documentation, design documents, and support knowledge articles.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and change management processes.
- Support application modernization and migration initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 4–8 years of experience in Java application development and support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
