Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

ZipTier is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to own, build, and scale core parts of our Gen AI platform. This role is for engineers who want end-to-end ownership of features, from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end, from requirement understanding and system design to implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release improvements
• Design and build backend services and APIs that power ZipTier's core platform
• Work on distributed, cloud-native systems involving async workflows, event-driven architectures, and scalable data stores
• Implement and operate infrastructure on AWS (Amplify, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, etc.)
• Work on cutting edge LLM abstraction and agentic workflows
• Debug and resolve production issues using logs, metrics, and traces with a reliability-first mindset
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with strong observability and error handling
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering to ship features quickly and iterate based on real usage
• Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and developer experience

Requirements

• Strong interest in startups; comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
• 0-3 years of experience as a Software Engineer (internships count)
• Strong fundamentals in at least one backend language (JavaScript / TypeScript / Python or similar)
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native development patterns
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science concepts
• Experience building APIs and working with databases and backend services
• Ability to take ownership, debug independently, and drive tasks to completion
