Role Overview

DigitalXnode is looking for an experienced PHP Developer to work with our client in India. This role is suited to a senior software professional with strong hands-on PHP experience, working knowledge of Python, and the ability to understand and modify large open-source codebases. You should be comfortable with Git-based development, code reviews, testing, and validating software changes before handoff.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain production-quality software with PHP as the primary development language.
• Work with large and established open-source codebases and make changes without affecting existing functionality.
• Implement and review Java and Rust features based on clear technical specifications.
• Use Python for scripting, development tooling, validation, data-related tasks, and testing support.
• Create, execute, and improve test suites to verify that features work correctly before handoff.
• Use Git confidently for branching, diffs, patches, code review, and day-to-day source control.
• Investigate issues, validate fixes, and help maintain the stability and quality of production software.
• Collaborate with engineering team members to clarify requirements and ensure work meets agreed specifications.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building production software in a senior capacity.
• Strong hands-on PHP development experience.
• Working knowledge of Python for scripting, tooling, data work, testing, or validation.
• Ability to read, understand, and modify large open-source software codebases.
• Strong Git skills, including branching, diffs, patches, and code reviews.
• Good understanding of software testing and validating changes before release or handoff.
• Ability to work with Java and Rust code and implement or review features against defined specifications.
• UG: Any Graduate. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field will be preferred.
