Role Overview
The AI & Robotics Project Intern – Chemi Robot will contribute to the design, development, integration, and testing of an AI-enabled laboratory robot aimed at supporting laboratory activities and automation. The intern will work on areas such as hardware and sensor integration, robotic control, basic programming, automation workflows, and system testing.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, integration, and testing of an AI-enabled laboratory robot.
- Work on hardware and sensor integration, robotic control, basic programming, automation workflows, and system testing.
- Document experiments, troubleshoot technical issues, and collect/analyze performance data.
- Assist in the optimization of robotic operations.
- Collaborate with faculty, engineers, and researchers to conduct laboratory trials and develop functional prototypes.
Requirements
- Students currently pursuing SE, TE, or BE in any branch of Engineering (AI, Robotics, Automation, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical).
- Foundational understanding of Robotics and robotic systems (sensors, actuators, kinematics, and control).
- Interest in Automation and Process Automation.
- Basic knowledge of Mechatronics and component integration.
- Basic programming skills in Python, C/C++, or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, sensors, or IoT is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain technical documentation and follow laboratory safety practices.
