Software Engineer Intern

Role Overview

OLTOWNS is building a technology-enabled organized retail ecosystem across Tier-2, Tier-3, and rural India. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our technology team on live projects involving web applications, APIs, databases, automation, and retail technology solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will write code, debug applications, build features, and contribute to production-oriented projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Develop and integrate APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases and perform basic data operations.
• Build and enhance web application features.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues.
• Participate in code reviews and testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product, and operations teams.
• Document technical processes and solutions.
• Learn and adopt modern development tools and technologies.
• Support automation and technology initiatives across OLTOWNS.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or a related technical field.
• Students in their final year or recent graduates.
• Strong interest in software development and technology.
• Good understanding of programming fundamentals.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
