Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet internal and external quality standards before they reach the customer. This role involves inspecting, testing, and reporting on product quality throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor quality control systems and procedures across the production process.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of materials and finished goods.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and company quality policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of quality checks and audits.
- Identify quality issues, analyze root causes, and coordinate with production for corrective actions.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), work instructions, and quality manuals.
- Perform calibration and maintenance of inspection and testing instruments.
- Support internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, customer audits) by preparing documents and participating in audit activities.
- Train shop floor staff on quality standards and proper procedures.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to improve product and process quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a QA/QC role in a manufacturing environment. (Freshers with strong fundamentals may also apply.)
- Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), ISO 9001 standards, and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram).
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, etc.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and quality reporting tools.
