Jr. AI Engineer Role

Role Overview

aiqon is hiring for the Jr. AI Engineer Role. This is an AI + Engineering role, not a teaching or research-only position. You will build AI systems and ship full-stack product work for industry clients in the USA and Australia. The work involves developing or fine-tuning models for document processing, truck tracking, logistics, or computer vision, and taking those models into production using full-stack engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop, adapt, and ship models for applied problems such as document processing, truck tracking and logistics, and similar client use cases.
• Build and ship AI features such as retrieval pipelines, model serving, and tooling.
• Contribute to full-stack engineering including product UI, APIs, and data.
• Support USA and Australia client projects with clear communication and overlapping hours.
• Write clear, maintainable code with tests and participate in code reviews.
• Debug issues end-to-end, from model output to UI to API to data.
• Collaborate with product and client stakeholders to turn operational needs into working software.

Requirements

• Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, AI/ML, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Comfort with Git, web fundamentals (HTTP, REST, HTML/CSS), and at least one modern full-stack stack (e.g. React, Node, or a Python web stack).
• Genuine interest in AI/ML with a portfolio or GitHub showing built projects.
• Clear written and spoken communication in English.
• Willingness to work overlapping hours with USA and Australia time zones.
• Based in, or willing to work from, Hyderabad in hybrid mode.
