QA - Intern

Role Overview

Amber is building the global infrastructure for student housing, helping 80M+ students find and book long-term accommodation near universities. We are looking for a QA Intern to work closely with our Engineering team to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. You will be involved in testing new features, identifying bugs early, and supporting smooth product releases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand features and requirements
• Write and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, and basic API testing
• Identify, log, and track bugs using tools like JIRA
• Reproduce issues and assist developers in debugging
• Validate fixes and ensure issues are resolved before release
• Support release cycles and sprint testing
• Maintain QA documentation and test reports

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing concepts
• Familiarity with web applications and APIs
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to think from a user perspective
• Good communication skills to work with engineering teams
