Software Development Engineer (SDE) Intern — Frontend / Full-Stac

Role Overview

FirstHire is an early-career tech discovery platform delivering instant job alerts and AI-driven ATS resume tailoring. We are looking for high-energy SDE Interns passionate about building scalable, high-speed user interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, modular, and high-performance UI components using modern frontend technologies (React.js, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3).
• Integrate backend RESTful APIs with efficient state handling and asynchronous data flow.
• Implement mobile-first layouts with smooth micro-interactions and cross-browser compatibility.
• Optimize web performance, asset delivery, and Core Web Vitals for speed.
• Collaborate using Git / GitHub workflows.
• Debug, test, and maintain clean, production-ready codebase.

Requirements

• Students or recent graduates (B.E./B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc CS or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), React fundamentals (Hooks, Lifecycle, Virtual DOM), and modern CSS (Flexbox / Grid).
• Hands-on project experience: At least 1–2 working web applications or open-source repositories deployed on GitHub/Vercel.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON data structures, and asynchronous programming (Promises / Async-Await).
• Fast learner with strong analytical thinking and a builder mindset.
