Role Overview
The Advanced Robotics Simulation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and validating high-fidelity virtual environments and robotic simulation platforms. This role focuses on bridging the gap between simulated and real-world robotic deployment through automated simulation pipelines, reinforcement learning frameworks, ROS2 integration, and GPU-accelerated infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in robotics software development, simulation technologies, and modern AI-based robot training methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-fidelity robotic simulation environments using NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab.
- Build and optimise sensor and actuator simulation pipelines for virtual testing and validation.
- Implement and optimise physics-based reinforcement learning (RL) workflows using Isaac Gym and related frameworks.
- Leverage robotics foundation models, including NVIDIA GR00T, to accelerate robot learning and autonomy development.
- Develop, configure, and troubleshoot ROS2 interfaces.
- Develop modular and maintainable Python tools for simulation automation.
- Automate USD asset import, scene generation, testing workflows, and domain randomisation processes.
- Build and maintain containerised simulation environments using Docker.
- Deploy and scale GPU-accelerated simulation workloads across local and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Collaborate with hardware and controls teams to reduce the gap between simulated and real-world robot performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
