Role Overview
As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Asset & Wealth Management Operations Tech, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance business-critical applications using Java, Spring Boot, and ReactJS, with a primary focus on backend engineering (60%) and modern UI development (40%).
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
- Partner closely with Compliance, Operations, Front Office, and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions supporting global investment compliance workflows.
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems.
- Drive automation across development, testing, deployment, and operational processes.
- Leverage observability, SRE, and DevOps practices to ensure application reliability and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on full-stack development experience with ReactJS preferred.
- Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience with modern software delivery practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
