Back End Developer

Role Overview

Nexal IIT is seeking a Back End Developer Intern to support server-side application development, database management, API development, and backend system activities. The selected intern will work on assigned development tasks and projects under the guidance of the team. This opportunity is intended for candidates who want to develop practical experience in building scalable, secure, and reliable backend applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining server-side applications.
• Build, test, and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable backend code.
• Assist in implementing authentication, authorization, and basic security practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot backend issues and application errors.
• Perform API testing and assist in improving application performance.
• Integrate backend services with frontend applications and third-party APIs.
• Use version control systems such as Git for code management.
• Document APIs, development processes, and technical solutions.
• Assist with backend development projects under team guidance.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of backend development concepts.
• Familiarity with at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, Node.js, PHP, or C#.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and HTTP/HTTPS concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Git and version control is preferred.
• Understanding of data structures and programming fundamentals.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Node.js/Express, Django, Flask, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of authentication and authorization concepts is preferred.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work on assigned backend development tasks.
