Java Backend Developer

Role Overview

Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. This role involves designing secure REST APIs, managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, and collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Design and build secure REST APIs and optimize application performance.
• Work with MySQL, Hibernate/JPA, and implement authentication using OAuth2/JWT.
• Write clean, maintainable code with unit tests using JUnit.
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Manage containerized applications with Docker and ECS/EKS/Kubernetes.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using CloudWatch and ensure security, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Partner with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvements.
• Participate in architecture discussions and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Java Backend Development and AWS Cloud Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, and Route53.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good knowledge of Git, Linux, and scripting (Python/Bash is a plus).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, and performance optimization.
• AWS Certification is an added advantage.
