Role Overview
World Trade Factory is building next-generation digital infrastructure at the intersection of blockchain, AI, and global markets. We are looking for a Blockchain Engineer to help design, build, and test smart-contract-based systems and supporting infrastructure in an educational, research-driven, and production-oriented environment. This role focuses on engineering, security, and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop smart contracts on Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains
- Implement and test ERC standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155 as needed)
- Build token utility and staking logic (testnet-first, security-focused)
- Integrate smart contracts with off-chain systems (APIs, indexers, dashboards)
- Write automated tests and conduct basic security reviews
- Support on-chain analytics, event indexing, and data pipelines
- Document contract behavior, assumptions, and upgrade paths
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Solidity and EVM fundamentals
- Solid understanding of Ethereum architecture, gas mechanics, and transactions
- Experience with smart contract testing frameworks (Hardhat, Foundry, or Truffle)
- Familiarity with web3 libraries (ethers.js, web3.js)
- Knowledge of common smart contract vulnerabilities (reentrancy, overflow, access control)
- Comfortable working with Git and code reviews
