Role Overview
The Artificial Intelligence Intern will contribute to the development and enhancement of AI-driven features across The Horizon Times' digital platforms. The intern will work on practical AI applications including content personalization, recommendation systems, natural language processing, audio article generation, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and testing AI/ML prototypes for media-related applications.
- Explore content personalization and recommendation approaches.
- Support NLP-based applications for news and editorial content.
- Assist with AI-powered audio article and content-generation workflows.
- Analyze datasets and generate insights related to content and user engagement.
- Research emerging AI technologies and identify relevant applications for digital media.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Assist with integrating AI tools and models into existing digital workflows.
- Collaborate with editorial, product, and technology teams.
- Document experiments, results, and technical findings.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong foundation in computer science and programming.
- Working knowledge of Python or a similar programming language.
- Basic understanding of Machine Learning and Data Science concepts.
- Familiarity with model development, evaluation, and deployment concepts.
- Analytical ability to work with datasets and interpret results.
- Willingness to learn AI frameworks and tools related to NLP, recommendation systems, or audio processing.
- Interest in AI applications within digital media, journalism, and content technology.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- Self-motivated, organized, and willing to learn in a dynamic environment.
