Custom Software Engineer

Role Overview

Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. As an AWS DevOps System Engineer, you will foster collaboration between development teams and infrastructure to ensure high operational service levels and availability of digital products.

Responsibilities

• Channel requirements between development teams and infrastructure departments.
• Initiate necessary infrastructure software updates.
• Support and coach development teams in running and operating their own software using the "You build it – You run it" philosophy.
• Automate deployment pipelines.
• Support teams with the setup of monitoring and alerting solutions and processes.
• Support development teams with infrastructure know-how.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain shared middleware components.
• Collaborate closely with operational service owners.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps Architecture.
• 15 years of full-time education.
• Practical experience in programming or command languages.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools.
• Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud and its native services.
• Strong experience building and deploying infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Deep knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Experience with software development methods and system administration in heterogeneous environments.
